As a dedicated advocate for the rights of women and girls, Carrie was hired to launch the U.S. office of Educate Girls in 2023 to expand the fundraising and grant-making work in support of the mission to ensure that every girl in India has access to education and opportunity. She has devoted her career to furthering gender equity in education, criminal justice, public policy and philanthropy.
Carrie brings more than thirty years of experience to Educate Girls with prior positions serving as the President and CEO of a community college foundation, as the Executive Director of a community foundation, as Legal Director of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, and as an Assistant State’s Attorney responsible for prosecuting crimes of domestic violence. She has served on several nonprofit boards of directors.
Carrie received her BA from Boston College, her JD from Pace University School of Law, and her Master’s Certificate from the University of Massachusetts Institute for Policy and Global Studies with the Program for Women in Politics and Public Policy.
