Phyllis is Co-founder and President of Outcomes X, the first marketplace to buy and sell verified social outcomes. Previously for 11 years she was CEO of the UBS Optimus Foundation and more recently Global Head of Social Impact at UBS.
In her role as CEO of the UBS Optimus Foundation, she overhauled the strategy to deliver greater commercial and social impact. She also created an innovative finance group, focused on introducing new social finance mechanisms such as the first Development Impact Bond in education with Educate Girls.
Prior to UBS, Phyllis was Executive Director and Board Member of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), a UK-based philanthropic organization focused on health, education and climate, linked to the hedge fund TCI.
She currently serves as a Board Member of the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), and the UBS Optimus Foundation UK. She is a Member of the Council of Foreign Relations and Senior Advisor to the Education Outcomes
Fund for Africa and the Middle East.
She has lived and worked internationally in Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United States. She holds an M.P.P. from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University.
